West Michigan's diversified economic base, strong work
ethic, superior work force, and abundant natural resources
provide the base for steady growth that has outpaced
the rest of the state. The high quality of life is
enhanced by strong public, private and higher education
facilities, reasonable cost of living, and varied summer
and winter recreational activities. The active cultural
community in Grand Rapids features symphony, opera,
ballet, Broadway shows, and various arena events. Grand
Rapids also features a wide array of sporting events
including, minor league basketball, baseball, hockey,
and arena football.
We believe in sharing some of our time and talent
with the community. Our attorneys and staff, with
the full support of the firm, are involved in a
wide range of volunteer service activities, board
memberships, and community program support. From
the local Historical Society, to the West Michigan
Land Conservancy, to a variety of religious, service,

and greater good of our community. Some of the

In addition, we provide free legal services as part
of the Pro Bono Program of Western Michigan.
Through referrals from Legal Aid of Western Michigan,
our attorneys and staff commit a high volume
of service hours each year to those in our community
who would otherwise not receive legal
representation. We have been recognized for this
service by the State Bar of Michigan Pro Bono
Honor Roll program.
